Additional Arkansas Medical License Service Information:

Arkansas has made some significant changes since the beginning of 2018. Changes for the better. Most Physicians can be issued without attending a mandatory Meeting. In the past a trip to Little Rock was required. Some verifications can be emailed or faxed to the AR Med Board. In the past they had to be mailed. Prior to 2018, the approval process by Arkansas seemed to be arbitrary. Now there seems to be a standardized process by which licenses are issued on the basic educational and training merits of the Physician. Arkansas is no longer the most difficult to apply to. The Arkansas Medical Board implemented an online licensure system. The Board works the files on a daily - weekly basis. Updates are emailed to the Physician at least once a week.

The changes which the Board Management implemented has directly translated into one of the fastest, smoothest licensure processes in the USA. Their process is very extensive but the competency and due diligence of the Arkansas Medical Board staff members creates a process that can be one of the fastest full licensure processes in the United States.
