Mississippi Medical Board License Services

With the Mississippi Medical Board, is averaging 3 1/2 to 6 1/2  months for the issuance of a Mississippi Medical License from the submission of the application to the Medical Board to the issuance of the Physician Mississippi Medical Board. Our firm has licensed Physicians in Mississippi since April 2000. In an average year, will handle between 25 to 35 Mississippi License Applications. Once the files are deemed complete by the Mississippi Medical Board the Mississippi Medical License can request an interview.

For International Medical School Graduates, Mississippi adds additional burdens. All employment that falls within 10 years of the application has to be verified by the employer to the Mississippi, regardless of the time or location. This can be difficult under some circumstances. All International Licenses have to be directly verified to the Mississippi Medical Board. The Medical School will also be required to submit a form and transcripts to the Mississippi Medical Board. Mississippi requires that all training overseas be directly verified.

Applications with the Mississippi Medical Board have a 6 month expiration time period from the date they are completed. Mail loss with the Mississippi Medical Board can be an issue.   The Mississippi Medical Board does not grant waivers or exemptions to its' posted PGY and USMLE requirements.
